Seduction of a Highland Lass (McCabe Trilogy, #2)
Title: Seduction of a Highland Lass
Series: (McCabe Trilogy #2)

Author: Maya Banks
Format: Mass Market Paperback
Pages: 323
Published: September 27th 2011
Publisher: Ballantine Books
Source: Bought

Maya Banks, the New York Times bestselling author of erotic romance, romantic suspense, and contemporary romance, has captivated readers with her steamy Scottish historical novels, perfect for fans of Julie Garwood. In Seduction of a Highland Lass, an indomitable Highland warrior is caught between loyalty and forbidden love.

Fiercely loyal to his elder brother, Alaric McCabe leads his clan in the fight for their birthright. Now he is prepared to wed for duty, as well. But on his way to claim the hand of Rionna McDonald, daughter of a neighboring chieftain, he is ambushed and left for dead. Miraculously, his life is saved by the soft touch of a Highland angel, a courageous beauty who will put to the test his fealty to his clan, his honor, and his deepest desires.

An outcast from her own clan, Keeley McDonald was betrayed by those she loved and trusted. When the wounded warrior falls from his horse, she is drawn to his strong, lean body. The wicked glint in his green eyes ignites a passion that will follow them back to Alaric’s keep, where their forbidden love draws them deeper into the pleasures of the flesh. But as conspiracy and danger circle closer, Alaric must make an impossible choice: Will he betray his blood ties for the woman he loves?

My rating: 5.5/5

I devoured this book and it was a total surprise for me because I didn't know what to expect with this one... OMG, I think I'm in love with you Maya Banks!

You put everything I need and love in a good Historical Romance: Romance (of course), unwanted marriage, Highlanders (swoon), fighting clans, sweet, addictive and steamy scenes and interactions between the prime characters.

I really enjoyed Keeley who wasn't a childish women and she puts the needs and wellbeing of others before her own needs. She had an awkward past. She has been cast away by her own clan but was able to survive on her own since then. She's a strong character and I got attached to her immediately.
In Bed with a Highlander (McCabe Trilogy, #1) Never Love a Highlander (McCabe Trilogy, #3)

As for Alaric, I was charmed by his personality and behaviour as soon as he lay dying in Keeley's arms. They were meant to be together, but will they be reunited? Oohhh! Well we all know the answer to that wondrous question but the author has really wanted us to wait before giving us the real answer.

Overall, the plot was interesting and well built, I love to read about the warrior who fall in love with the healer of the clan, such a girly kind of ''Cinderella'' fairy tales but instead of have the prince and the low rank girl thing we got the mighty and sexy warrior and the seductive healer. LOVE IT!

I read this book over a day and I already started the third book of this series.

 Page Turner: Yes!

Series: (McCabe Trilogy #2)

Stand Alone: No, you should read it in order! In Bed with a Highlander first!

Hotness: Alaric! Please Gimme!

Proserpine Recommendation: If you love Historical Romance with handsome Scottish man, this book is for you; well the entire series is for you! Buy-Borrow-TBR-pile for sure!
