A world shrouded in mystery and intrigue, the Sisterhood of
Epione must not be exposed.
Shape-shifting nymph Ariadne Papadakis is tasked with keeping
the truth of the group’s existence and their ancient mysteries far out of reach
of the American archeologist, Beau Morris and his troublemaking son, Kaden.
When forgotten and forbidden passions are awakened, Ariadne is forced make a
choice—fall in line and continue to be overrun and pushed down by the
sisterhood, or follow her heart and put Beau and Kaden’s lives in danger.
Can she have the man she loves or will the pressure and secrets
of her past keep her from her heart’s desire?

My rating: 3.5-4 /5
I'm a bit perplexed for this rating because I enjoyed the story,
and it wasn't like I hate the whole thing, but somehow, I didn't have that
special feeling that kept me want to read more and want more. Why this one? I
don't know! Danica Winters, the author, has writing skills and a creative mind,
plus, I'm the kind of girl who craves Greek mythology, sweet romance, fast-pace
and surprising ending but it wasn't a page turner for me.
You will find everything above in this book. The prime
characters were quite interesting; Ariadne, who's a shape-shifter nymph and
she's dedicated to the cause of the Nymphs and her Goddess, in addition to live
under the wrath of a curse, which takes over her feelings for Beau and it makes
it difficult for me to get attached to her. I was more in for Beau's work and
''cause''.
Maybe I didn't get attached to the main characters, but in a
way, I was more in tune with Kaden and Trina's story then Beau and Ariadne...
It was a lovely romance, the whole story was around the myth of
the Nymphs, which I loved but, I personally, didn't get ''into'' the story as
much as I wished. Some parts were really interesting, filled with action or
suspense, but there was something missing from my POV.
I liked the interactions between Ariadne and Stavros, they were
funny, witty and I wanted to dive a big knife into Stavros heart, oh yeah!
One thing I really appreciated in this story was the ''bad
guys'' of the story. At first I didn't saw Kat as the main threat of this
novel, but as you read the book, you will find more threats, more shocking
news!
Nice, cute ending, but after all, we are again with the love can
vanquished everything kind of morals. I like to be surprised, this wasn't a surprising
ending, but this is also my kind of Happy Ending too!
Series: (Nymph #1)
Stand Alone: Yes! But we probably will meet are characters in
the next book!?!
Hotness: Beau!
Proserpine Recommendation: Overall, this book was ok from my
POV, maybe it wasn't my kind of book, but that doesn't mean it won't be yours!
If you like Greek Mythology, a good plot and great and sweet romance, this book
is for you! Buy (yes), Borrow (certainly!), and put on your TBR pile (Yes!)
