Celia Wird and her three sisters are just like other
twenty-something girls—with one tiny exception: They're the products of a curse
that backfired and gave each of them unique powers that make them, well, a
little weird…
The Wird sisters are content to avoid the local vampires,
werebeasts, and witches of the Lake Tahoe region—until one of them blows up a
vampire in self-defense. Everyone knows vampires aren't aggressive, and killing
one is punishable by death. But soon more bloodlust-fueled attacks occur, and
the community wonders if the vampires of Tahoe are plague-ridden.
Celia reluctantly agrees to help Misha, the handsome leader of
an infected vampire family. But Aric, the head of the werewolf pack determined
to destroy Misha's family to keep the area safe, warns Celia to stay out of the
fight. Caught between two hot alphas, Celia must find a way to please everyone,
save everyone, and—oh, yeah—not lose her heart to the wrong guy or die a
miserable death. Because now that the evil behind the plague knows who Celia
is, he's coming for her and her sisters.
This Wird girl has never had it so tough.

Rating: 5/5
Fantastic debut novel, I was blown away by the plot, the mix of
paranormal being, the intense character and this is one of the best new series
I read this year (so far)! Cecy Robson is a new author that you need to keep
your eyes on!
I was pleasantly surprised to quickly fall in love with the 4
Wird girls (Celia, Shayna, Taran and Emme), but also for Misha and Aric
(respectively the hunky Vampire and Werewolf of this story).
I was delighted by the development of this story, the characters
personality and the humor that is present from beginning to end. I couldn't
even set the book aside more than two minutes, I couldn't let it go!
At first, I did not expect this kind of story, but I really
loved it! Celia is an exceptional woman with surprising and funny powers. I was
drawn to her, like love at first sight and I immediately identified myself with
this fantastic character: she is beautiful, intelligent, and strong and she
take care a lot of her sisters, she would do anything for them even put her
love life aside!
Misha is the perfect representation of the ''bad'' vampire, he
reminded me of Eric Northman from True Blood! (Ouff!), but if you prefer
werewolves, you will be well serve with Aric and his ''pack'' of warrior! They
also have stolen my heart with their unnerving behaviour! Even if I'm a vampire
freak, I have to say that Aric is the perfect Alpha and totally my kind of man!
Overall, this book was a pure blitz from the first chapter, t'il
the very end!
Series: Yes (Weird Girls #1), and can't wait to read the
sequel!!!
Stand Alone: Yes, but you'll want to read the sequel for sure!
Hotness: Misha and Aric, but I have a weakness for Aric!
Proserpine Recommendation: This book has everything a paranormal
lover craves for! If you are a reader of Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance,
this book is definitely for you! Sealed with a Cursed is a must!
BUY-Borrow-Steal, do whatever you must do to read this one! :P
Cecy (pronounced Sessy) Robson is an author with Penguin's
SIGNET ECLIPSE. She attributes her passion for story-telling back to the rough
New Jersey neighborhood she was raised in. As a child, she was rarely allowed
to leave the safety of her house and passed her time fantasizing about flying,
fairies, and things that go bump in the night. Her dad unwittingly encouraged
Cecy's creativity by kissing her goodnight wearing vampire fangs. Gifted and
cursed with an overactive imagination, she began writing her Urban Fantasy
Romance Series, Weird Girls, in May 2009. THE WEIRD GIRLS: A Novella and SEALED
WITH A CURSE are now available. The second novel in The Weird Girls Series, A
CURSED EMBRACE, releases July 2, 2013.
