Born into old money, Lily Ayres lives at Waverly, her family’s
estate situated at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Paris, Virginia. She
is a strange, small, almost mute, young woman who has no idea that her father
has given her to the Vampire King Krieger. Walter Ayres is the King’s Keeper
and part of a secret society of historians who unearth, preserve, and attempt
to understand relics of long forgotten civilizations.
Lily has never felt comfortable in the human world, but after
she suspiciously falls down a flight of stone steps, and is healed and claimed
by Krieger, she realizes there is another world. In this Other Realm she feels
a sense of belonging, and begins to untwine the mysterious event which left her
mentally and psychologically damaged. When Walter disappears in England, Lily
works with human and supernatural beings to uncover his whereabouts. With each
new discovery, she is pulled deeper into the vortex of magic, intrigue, and
dark desires that permeates the supernatural world. The revelations revealed
unfold a story of deception and betrayal that threaten to tear the thin veil
between the supernatural and human world asunder.

OMG, I don't know why, but this year is filled with fantastic
book! So you see me coming with this comment: The Last Keeper's Daughter was
phenomenal! Well some of you might say that I am exaggerating, but if you are
fans of paranormal romance, this book is a must!
I'm a cover whore and I must admit that I almost refuse the
review request for this book, because I wasn’t attracted to the cover. Then I
read the blurb and I knew immediately that there was something new to discover!
I haven't been disappointed! OMG, I so loved this story, it
contained almost every elements to make me drool, fantasize and the suspense
surrounding the origins of Lily was almost unbearable, but ideal to keep me
hooked!
Mainly, Lily is the only daughter of the last Keeper. After the
death of his father, Lily learns that entrusted to his future, his protection,
his life the king of vampires, Krieger. However, Lily is not aware of the
supernatural world that surrounds it. Lily is a rather shy woman and erased.
She does not like attention, but the fact of becoming the new king of the
vampires protected attracts many curious and dangerous situations.
Krieger is the king vampire, he is rich, power and authority is
incredible. Krieger seems attracted by Lily at first; he will discover that it
is much more than just human.
Several aspects to the book were very interesting and creative:
The disappearance of Walter, Lily's father,
The true nature of the death of Lily's mother,
Protection and origins of Lily
Discovery of the paranormal world: Vampires, Dragons, Vantors
are vampires/werewolves!
All these beautiful males alpha (they are everywhere!)
I don't know how to explain it, but I was eager and excited to
learn more about Lily's past, but also her relationship with Krieger.
The reading was easy, fluid, all had a sense and I was
immediately attracted to this beautiful and mysterious Lily. The author,
Rebecca Trogner knows how to keep the reader in suspense and the course of the
story is fast but well established. I think only one thing: Read the sequel as
soon as possible! Can I??? Pretty please!?!?!? :D
Series: I hope so!!!!
Stand Alone: Yes, but you will surely want to read the next
book, if there's one!
Hotness: Krieger, since I'm a vampire freak, but I had to also
mention Liam, a Vantor and Lucien, a Slayer!
Proserpine Recommendation: This one is a must try this year! If
you love PNR, but most of all, supernatural world and creatures, you will be
satisfied with this one!
BUY!!!
